Okay, so I know I have some music lovin/sangin readers out there. Yes, I said sangin. Cuz that's what I do, I sang. There's a big difference between sangin and singin. I don't feel like describing it, just trust me. (or see the pictoral explanation below) So I have an audition for a solo next tuesday night, and I have no clue as to what I want to perform. I was thinking about that Jazmine Sullivan joint, In Love With Another Man. I don't know all the words, but I have a week so im not worried about that one. My girl suggested a throwback song cuz she loves when I sing old school. I might go that way, but I still need specific suggestions. I was also thinking about attempting a neo-soul sound (Crisette Michelle, Ledisi, etc.), or some Corinne Bailey Rae or maybe Amy Winehouse. See! There are just too many options. I need help. Suggestions anyone???FYI- I have a fairly heavy alto voice, strong, soulful, sultry. Think Lauryn Hill meets Jill Scott who then met India Arie. And where the f is Lauryn anyway? *sigh*
These women are SANGIN:

And I don't know what the hell she's doin...it might look like she sangin...but trust me, she ain't.
